At the sixth round of the VLN at the Nürburgring, Hendrik von Danwitz and "Jules" celebrated their third victory of the season in the Porsche Cayman GT4 classification (Type 981). In a race characterized by extremely difficult weather conditions, the German-English team of drivers did not make any mistakes and at the end of the four-hour distance saw the checkered flag first. This allowed the Frikadelli Racing Team to further extend the lead in the overall standings.

"For us it was, of course, with the pole position and the race win a perfect weekend. After we had some technical problems at the 6h race we are happy that we are back at the top of the class", the driver duo said after the race.

The sixth VLN race became a real poker game due to the changeable weather conditions. "As so often this season, the weather has again played a central role today. We set a fast time at the beginning of qualifying, which was the absolutely right decision. During the race, it was all about having a reasonably happy hand in choosing tires", says von Danwitz.

Starting from pole position, "Jules" successfully defended the lead with the Porsche Cayman GT4 CS at the start. Despite the heavy rain, the Brit quickly got to his rhythm and handed the cockpit to his teammate von Danwitz after seven clean laps. He tied in with the strong performance of his teammate, before he should be "victim" of the conditions.

"We decided to go for slicks when changing drivers. Basically, that was the right decision at that time. Unfortunately, the rain has become much stronger after that, which is why I had to struggle with strong aquaplaning on the way and had to give up the lead in the tenth lap." But the man from Tönisvorst was able to recapture the lead at the end of the race. This cleared the way for Frikadelli Racing's third win of the season in the Porsche Cayman GT4 classification (Type 981).
