Next podium finish in view

At the start of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season, the Frikadelli Racing Team made it straight onto the podium in the AM category of the Porsche Endurance Trophy with the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992). Next weekend, Klaus Abbelen, "Jules" and Felipe Fernandez Laser want to build on this performance as part of the second round of the season and further exploit the potential of the Porsche 992.

“After the start of the new season went well, it's now a matter of continuing to work on the set-up so that we can present ourselves even better than in the first race. At the same time, we want to collect as many points as possible for the championship," says team manager Klaus Abbelen. Compared to the opening race, the driver constellation remains unchanged. In addition to the two regular drivers, Klaus Abbelen and "Jules", Felipe Fernandez Laser takes the wheel of the #111 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) again.

"I am very much looking forward to supporting Klaus and "Jules" again in their project. Having already finished on the podium in the AM category in the first race, we will do everything we can to get even closer to the top,” said Laser. His teammate “Jules” adds: “There are many indications that the weather will not be as good as it was at the start. Accordingly, the signs are completely different this time, which makes it all the more exciting. The bottom line is that the conditions are the same for everyone and we will try to get the maximum out of it again to build on our success from the first race.”

The second NLS run again covers a distance of four hours and starts on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Before that, qualifying takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
