For Frikadelli Racing, things will continue in quick succession in the 2021 season. Just one week after the convincing double victory in the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), the team of team boss Klaus Abbelen will contest the 6h qualifying race with both Porsche 911 GT3 R and all eight drivers.

“This event is very important to us. It's the dress rehearsal for the 24-hour race at the beginning of June and gives us a lot of driving time in front of the season highlight. With second place overall in the NLS opening race and the one-two victory last weekend, we made a fantastic start to the new season, but this is only a snapshot. We will continue to work with full focus in order to be as prepared as possible for the 24h race, ”Klaus Abbelen looks ahead.

The last endurance test in the run-up to the race twice around the clock will be completed by the Frikadelli Racing Team with all eight drivers. In the # 30 Porsche 911 GT3 R, the two Porsche works drivers Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell grab the steering wheel together with Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy. Patrick Pilet, Dennis Olsen and Maxime Martin share the # 31 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Porsche works driver Frédéric Makowiecki.

The next Saturday will start with a warm-up and free practice before the first two-and-a-half-hour qualifying session, which continues until dusk. The second, 60-minute qualifying session takes place on Sunday morning, before the top 30 qualifying starts at 10:30 a.m. and the tension comes to a head. The actual 6h race starts at 12:00 p.m. and is broadcast live.
