Frikadelli Racing is aiming for the third podium result in a row

04.09.2022

With the 12h Nürburgring next weekend, the roughly two-month summer break ends for Frikadelli Racing. At the newly created season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the team from Barweiler would like to score further important points for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring. Klaus Abbelen and "Jules" are currently fourth in the AM Championship.

“We were able to finish the last two NLS races in second place in the daily classification and have thus worked our way up in the overall standings. At the 12h Nürburgring we would like to build on this performance and aim for our third podium place in a row. Who knows, maybe with a little bit of luck we could win our first win of the season, but first of all it is important to cover the long distance without any problems and to use the material properly”, team leader Klaus Abbelen looks ahead.

At the 12h Nürburgring, the Frikadelli Racing Team will send its regular team into the race. In addition to Klaus Abbelen and "Jules", Felipe Fernandez Laser will take the wheel again. After the test drives and set-up runs on Friday, the schedule on Saturday morning initially includes a two-hour qualifying session (9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.). The start of the first, six-hour part of the race takes place in the afternoon at 2:30 p.m. After crossing the finish line, parc fermé regulations apply to all participants until Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. when the second, six-hour section continues, taking into account the time gaps from the previous day.

The 12h Nürburgring will be broadcast live over the entire distance. The YouTube stream is available at: www.nuerburgring-langstrecken-serie.de.
