Frikadelli Racing wants to continue their positive trend at the Prototype Cup in Zandvoort

From July 12th to 14th, 2024, the Frikadelli Racing Team will take on the third round of the Prototype Cup Germany season. Following the season opener in Spa-Francorchamps and the subsequent event at the Lausitzring, the Barweiler-based team is now heading to the North Sea coast in the Netherlands. At Circuit Park Zandvoort, Klaus Abbelen and Felipe Laser aim to continue their positive momentum with the #30 Ligier JS P320.
“At the Lausitzring, we were able to collect a lot of data and, above all, continuously improve our pace across the three races with our LMP3 vehicle. We’d like to build on that in Zandvoort and score as many points as possible,” said team principal Klaus Abbelen, who currently sits in fourth place in the Prototype Cup Germany championship standings alongside his co-driver Felipe Laser.
The action on the challenging dune circuit, known for its “blind” crests and steep corners, begins on Friday, July 12th, 2024 with two free practice sessions. The first qualifying session will take place on Saturday morning, July 13th, from 09:20 to 09:35, followed by Race 1 in the afternoon from 14:15 to 15:15. The weekend concludes on Sunday, July 14th with a second qualifying session (09:00 – 09:15) and Race 2 from 15:10 to 16:10. All sessions will be broadcast live on the Prototype Cup Germany’s YouTube channel.
