Frikadelli Racing wants to get back on the podium
At the fourth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, Frikadelli Racing wants to fight its way back to the podium in the Pro-Am classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy. As usual, the #111 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup will be driven by team boss Klaus Abbelen and the Brit “Jules”.
“The NLS season started extremely well for us with third place in the opening race. After the cancellation of race two due to the weather, we were unfortunately not able to fully maintain our performance in the third race of the season and ended up fourth. Therefore, the goal is that we improve again at the weekend, find our way back into the top 3 and collect as many points as possible for the championship,” says team boss Klaus Abbelen.
The Frikadelli Racing Team can draw a lot of confidence from the last appearance in the "Green Hell", because at the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring the team from Barweiler made another significant leap forward in terms of setup.
“Up until our accident in the night, we were able to prove once again in the 24-hour race that we have the potential to be among the top three under our own steam. If possible, we would like to build on this performance in the fourth NLS race and at the same time of course also get the car over the distance without making any mistakes,” Abbelen continued.
The start of the race is on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., before that the qualifying takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Both can be seen in the live stream at www.nuerburgring-langstrecken-serie.de.
