After Frikadelli Racing successfully concluded the Prototype Cup Germany season at the beginning of September, the team will make another guest appearance next weekend. Team boss Klaus Abbelen will drive the Ferrari 296 GT3 as part of the ADAC Racing Weekend at the Nürburgring. It will be the first ever STT outing for ‘Bella 2.0’.

‘We have decided to collect a few more kilometres with our Ferrari 296 GT3 at the end of the year with a view to the coming season. The STT comes in very handy here with its season finale at the Nürburgring. I'm really looking forward to the races on Saturday and Sunday,’ says Abbelen.

The Ferrari 296 GT3 will compete in Class 2, which is made up of touring car and GT vehicles from 2 kg/hp to 2.49 kg/hp. Abbelen will not only be up against current GT3 cars, but also some now ‘historic models’, such as the BMW Z4 GT3 or the BMW M6 GT3.

Frikadelli Racing's last appearance in the STT was in the 2019 season, when the team from Barweiler completed a test run with the then new Ligier JS P320 at both Hockenheim and the Nürburgring.

It starts on Saturday morning from 10:25 - 11:05 with the first qualifying session, before the first race starts in the afternoon from 14:20 - 15:00.Another qualifying session follows on Sunday from 11:20 - 12:00, before the second race is on the programme from 16:00 - 16:40.
